Leonidas (レオニダス Reonidasu) also known as Leo (レオ Reo) is a one-of-a-kind dragon-like Bakugan who was born in the Doom Dimension in the Bakugan: Grey Ikenami's Story series. He is Grey Ikenami's Guardian Bakugan.
Leonidas was born when Hal-G creates an orb that is as powerful as the Silent Core. Naga takes from the Center of Vestroia and thus unleashed Vladitor from the Doom Dimension. Grey finds Leonidas after Dan teaches him how to play. In the beginning, Leonidas was always aggressive in fighting and didn't care who his opponents were as long as he got to fight. Later on though, Leonidas warms up to the player and they become great friends. Even though he was born from the Doom Dimension to hold hatred towards other Bakugan, Drago trusts him.
Leonidas was a Reploid Bakugan, he was born in the Doom Dimension.
Leo is Grey Ikenami's Guardian Bakugan and the Bakugan main protagonist of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers anime series. He serves as a battle partner, a guardian, and a source of wisdom. Although he is impatient and a pacifist, he wants to help Grey, Dan and Drago protect Earth and Vestroia. He is the direct descendant of the Original Leonidas, one of the two first Bakugan ever created.
In the Japanese version, Wavern sometimes calls Leo by his real name when they meet.

In You Say You Want An Evolution
Leo evolved into Extreme Leonidas after he fought Storm Skyress as Omega Leonidas, due to Storm Skyress being the Guardian Bakugan of Shun, the last Brawler Grey needed to defeat. He has markings on his wings which are now split.
In The Final Brawl
Ultimate Dragonoid and Extreme Leonidas uses the power of the Infinity Core that Wavern gave them to defeat Naga.
He continues his battle against Silent Naga and ends up winning, thanks to the other Bakugan (Alpha Hydranoid, Blade Tigrerra, Hammer Gorem, Hydro Sharktor, Storm Skyress, Preyas and Angelo/Diablo Preyas).
After they absorbed both cores, Leo and Drago became complete by evolving into Perfect Dragonoid and Perfect Leonidas. After this, they said farewell to Dan and Grey and opens up a Dimension Tunnel to the core of Vestroia. They then returned both of the cores, creating New Vestroia and they becoming the Perfect Core.

- Photon Silencer: Leonidas gains 100 Gs while his opponent loses 100 Gs.

- Leo only evolved through battle experience three times: into Omega Leonidas, Extreme Leonidas, and Hyperion Leonidas. All the other evolutions were because of him getting energy, gift, or a core as shown below:
- Infinity Leonidas was Wavern's gift.
- Perfect Leonidas was from the Silent Core and Infinity Core (or Perfect Core).
- Status as separate from Infinity Leonidas is debatable.
- Neo Leonidas was a "downgrade", but a new body courtesy of the Legendary Soldiers of Vestroia.
- Abyss Leonidas was Exedra's gift.
- Verum Leonidas was from the Attribute Energies or Wavern's second gift.
- Oblivion Leonidas was Neo Ziperator's gift.
